Among the Department´s Centres for Doctoral Training, the Advanced Metallic Systems CDT students are all trained in public engagement, and will carry out at least two outreach projects during their training. Details of these projects once completed will appear on these pages, and also on the CDT´s own website.

The Metal Lab

Alan Aluminium and Tyrone Titanium are having an argument - they each think that they are the best metal. With the help of Tina Tin and friends, they carry out a series of experiments in the metal lab to test their material properties and help settle the question.

This stop motion animation is aimed at 7-11 year olds but we think it appeals to all ages!
