Umananda Bhatta obtained his MSc in Physics from the University of Mysore, Mysore, India in 2002, before undertaking his PhD at Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India, on “Temperature dependent TEM studies of gold nanostructures on Si surfaces and in polymer thin films”. He joined this department as a Post Doctoral Research Associate in April 2010 and since been working on the characterization of nanostructures using TEM and associated techniques.
