Ming Li obtained his PhD in 2008 from University of Sheffield under the supervision of Professor Derek C. Sinclair. Prior to his study in the UK, he obtained his MSc from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004 and BSc from Shenzhen University, China in 2001. He has been working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) with Professor Sinclair at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Sheffield since 2008.
Research interests
I have been studying a wide range of electronic materials and phenomena (high permittivity transition metal oxides, lead-free piezoelectrics, microwave dielectric materials, transparent conducting oxides and new type of ionic conductors) with focus on deep understanding of composition-structure-property relationships using a combination of different techniques. A particular strength is to probe ‘electrical microstructure’ of electronic materials using Impedance Spectroscopy.
