Application and admissions procedure
What are the A-level entry requirements? For up-to-date guidelines on our entry requirements visit the page below.
I'm not doing A-levels: what kind of offer can I expect? See the details on our entry requirements page.
Is it necessary to have done Further Maths? It is certainly not necessary to have done Further Maths, but it is definitely useful, and if you have the opportunity, we would recommend that you consider taking it. However, it should be stressed that the first year courses are designed for students who have done A-level Mathematics but have not studied the subject beyond that level.
Is it necessary to have done Mechanics or Statistics? No, the first year courses in these subjects assume no previous knowledge and start from scratch.
Do I have to do STEP papers? No.
What dual degrees are available? We offer many dual degrees; a complete list is given on the web page for dual degrees.
I can't come to the open days that you have offered me. What should I do? Contact the admissions secretary (telephone 0114 222 3802) and we'll sort something out.
