MBA Entry requirements
You may be asked to attend a face-to-face interview. This is conducted by a member of admissions staff or the MBA Programme Director and takes place on campus, in your home country at an agreed time and location, or by Skype.
To apply for the Sheffield MBA you need:
- A good undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification
- Three years to five years' postgraduate work experience;
This should include appropriate experience as a manager or in a supervisory role.
On occasions, the University may consider delegates without a first degree but with significant management experience.
If your undergraduate degree is NOT in English you will need to demonstrate competence in written and spoken English:
International English Language Testing Service (IELTS)
You need IELTS 7.0 with no component below 6.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
If you are unable to sit for the IELTS, you must take TOEFL. Our minimum requirement is 600 with 4.5 in written English or 260 in the computer-based test with an essay rating of 5. Contact one of the TOEFL centres for details of registration dates.
Some candidates will be required to sit the GMAT. Our guideline minimum score is 600.
