Requirements for students studying for PhD with integrated studies
Full-time students registered for the four year programme leading to a PhD with Integrated Studies are not required to undergo the procedure involved in transfer of registration. However, they are expected to participate in the same monitoring scheme as the MPhil/PhD students and to complete the School´s DDP units (MED6950 and MED6960).

Requirements for Part-time MPhil/MD and MPhil/PhD Students
Part-time students will essentially follow the same track as full-time students, and are required to submit reports of supervisory and mentoring meetings and to participate in the research presentation days. They are also expected to complete the School DDP units (MED6950 and MED6960) though they may present a case for exemption, if appropriate, on no more than one A4 page which should be submitted to the postgraduate tutor for consideration by the School Graduate Research Committee. The requirements of part-time students will be arranged on an ad hoc basis due to the slower and less predictable rate of progress made by part-time students. The procedures for transfer of registration will be identical to those for full-time students. Use of the Personal Planner in consultation with the Supervisor and Postgraduate tutor should be helpful in deciding when to present research findings.
