Overseas students who successfully obtain these studentships are eligible to apply for a Research Progression Scholarship and have a very good chance of being successful (since RPS is based on merit and successful students will have already been selected by a committee).  Scholarships can be granted to previous and current year's Masters students from the School of Medicine who apply for PhD places in the School of Medicine.
