Medical School Open Days

To help you decide where you would like to study we arrange a number of visit days, which give you the opportunity to look around the school.

Over the course of the day you will visit a University accommodation site, the University of Sheffield Union of Students and one hospital department. Admissions staff and current medical students will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the Medicine course, and their experience of life in Sheffield.

There are also a number of talks during the day, when members of the school will cover topics of interest, such as the Course Design at Sheffield, Admission to Medicine and the Interview procedure.

We run four visit days over the summer, each starts at 10.15 am and finishes at about 4.30 pm, a buffet lunch is provided. Be prepared for all weathers, as part of the programme will include walking to various parts of the campus.
