Molecular Medicine (MSc) - incorporating MSc in Molecular and Genetic Medicine
Molecular medicine is the application of the methods of molecular biology and molecular genetics to medicine.
Our one-year MSc in Molecular Medicine is designed for life science and clinical graduates. Its primary aim is to teach you how scientific research in this area is actually done. The course provides an excellent basis for entering PhD training and careers in research. The taught component aims to provide a broad and up-to-date understanding of the molecular and genetic factors that underlie human diseases.
The course contains Core modules, then offers three Pathways: Genetics, Experimental Medicine and Neuroscience. Modules are intensive and are generally two weeks in length. They are continuously assessed by assignments, essay writing and by written examination.
