Studentship Project Approval - Graduate Recruitment Form

Prior to enrolment of candidates for postgraduate research degrees in the Medical School, a description of the proposed research project must undergo peer review. This process is achieved through the use of the graduate recruitment form, which can be downloaded by following the link on this page.

Supervisors are requested to provide a two page outline of the proposed area of research. If the project has already undergone external peer review and been judged suitable for a studentship, a copy of the successful application is sufficient.

Supervisors must also provide details of the student, state why they consider them suitable to study for a research degree, and describe the arrangements for supporting both the student and the costs of the research.

The completed Graduate Recruitment form should be submitted to the PGR Admissions Secretary. A flow diagram showing the process involved in reviewing the graduate recruitment form can be downloaded (see right hand links).
