How your organisation can contribute

The Advanced Metallics Systems DTC has many strong, mutually beneficial links with companies, organisations and research groups in the field of metallic materials research.

Organisations can benefit from having access to state-of-the-art equipment and our academic expertise. We would like to offer organisations the opportunity to be involved in the Centre and you can do so in the following ways:

  • Giving specialist lectures: we would be happy to accept visiting speakers to lecture on specialist topics not covered by our programme. This will provide industrially relevant input into the training.
  • Accepting site visits: to give students an appreciation of a wide spectrum of energy-related issues.
  • Industrial sponsorship: you can co-sponsor a student to carry out research relevant to your organisation, providing that the project includes an element of novelty to ensure the award of a PhD upon completion.
