Information for New Postgraduate Students
We're looking forward to welcoming you to the School of Languages and Cultures for your postgraduate studies! We are sure you will enjoy studying with us.
To welcome you to the School, we are expecting you to attend the introductory meeting which will be held at 10.00a.m. on Monday 17th September 2012. This is an opportunity for you to meet the Postgraduate teaching staff and your fellow students and to talk generally about the course. You will also meet your Personal Tutor. A series of activities will follow this meeting to assist you with choosing your modules and settling into your new environment.
At the introductory meeting, you will receive your student handbook and your module choice form. With the help of your tutors, you will decide which optional modules you will study, in addition to your core modules. You will complete your module choice form and take this to Registration, which will be on Friday 21st September in Sports Hall 1 of the Goodwin Centre.
If you are holding a Conditional offer of study, it is important that you inform us as soon as you have evidence of having met your Conditions of offer e.g. IELTS or Degree results. Once you have met the conditions for your offer of study, we can upgrade you to Unconditional and you can begin the visa application process.
The Intro Week Timetable will be published in early September. There is further general information here:
