Modules for students on STEM degrees with a Modern Language.

Entry post AS or A-level

During the first year of study all STEM students will continue the study of the target language in a generic language class. In addition to this students of Chemistry and Maths will also do additional language modules from the following:

Animal and Plant Science (APS) students may do some of the modules above.

During the second year of study all students will continue the study of the target language in a generic language class in the Autumn semester. In the Spring semester all students will do:

In addition to this students of Chemistry and Maths may also do Tandem and extra language modules.

During the third year of study all students will study their main subject in a French, German, Italian or Spanish speaking country (or Catalan for students of Maths).

During the fourth and final year of study Engineering, APS and Maths students will follow a final year language module which contains a Foreign Languages at Work element leading to an additional FLAW certificate. Students of Maths will also do additional Tandem and Project modules.
