I graduated from Clare College, Cambridge with a degree in Modern and MediƦval Languages, with German
and Spanish as my main languages. I have a Diploma in French from the Open University, a Master's in Women's Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and a P.G. C.E. from Sheffield Hallam University. In 2010 I obtained a Diploma in German Translation from the Institute of Linguists.
I taught German and French in secondary schools for several years before moving into Adult Education,
teaching German both in Local Authority evening classes and at the Modern Languages Teaching Centre.
From February 2009 I have worked as the German coordinator at the Modern Languages Teaching Centre.
I teach Levels 1-3, the German Project Module, Year Abroad Module and Tandem Module. I am particularly
interested in developing the use of film in teaching.
I am an active member of the Association for Language Learning, being a member of the Yorkshire Committe,
and I am the Reviews Editor for the journal for German teachers, 'Deutsch: Lehren und Lernen'.
In my spare time I enjoy walking in the U.K and Europe, reading and going to the cinema.
