Orchestral and Choral Auditions 2012

Dear student,

Please find below information on auditions for the Department of Music's instrumental and vocal ensembles. Auditions are open to students from all departments.

Orchestras

Do you play an orchestral instrument? Would you like to join one of the University's Orchestras? A number of vacancies have arisen for the University's Symphony and Wind Orchestras and Flute and Clarinet Choirs. All instrumental ensembles rehearse weekly, do two concerts a year in addition to various competitions, events and foreign tours.

Auditions will take place on Monday 24 September at the Department of Music (address at the bottom of this message).

There is no need to register interest in advance. Please congregate in the main foyer from 17:30 to be allocated a time, and be prepared to wait. Please bring a short piece of music to play and expect to be given a a short piece of sight reading. Call backs maybe held later in the week, subject to demand for places.

Chamber Choir and Vocal Consort

Auditions will take place on Monday 24 September, 09:00 - 18:00 and Tuesday 25 September 13:00 - 18:00.

Please bring along a piece from your repertoire to sing and be expect to be given a short piece of sight reading.
