Premiere of George Nicholson's new piece 'Recueillement'
George Nicholson's new piece 'Recueillement' for flute, horn, viola and harp is to be premiered by Arpège in their Firth Hall concert on February 26. Also included in the programme is the first complete performance of his ‘Autumn Journey’ for horn and harp, written in 2005. The members of Arpège will be giving two workshops in the Music Department on the afternoon of February 25, one for composers led by Stephen Stirling and Christina Rhys (new works for horn and harp) and one for performers, with Philippa Davies (flute) and Louise Williams (viola).
