Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships and University of Sheffield awards in the Humanities
The University of Sheffield's Faculty of Arts and Humanities has been given a substantial grant to enhance postgraduate research, thanks to the Wolfson Foundation. The Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships in the Humanities will be available in three disciplines - history, literature and languages. The University is matching the Wolfson grant to provide a further set of scholarships to be awarded to students working in any of the Faculty’s disciplines. The scholarships will be awarded solely on merit to students aspiring to an academic career.
The Wolfson Postgraduate Scholarships and the Sheffield awards in the Humanities pay:
- tuition fees
- an annual, tax-free maintenance stipend of £15,000
- a Research Training Support Grant for study visits, conferences, books, consumables and equipment.
These scholarships fund up to three years full-time or six years part-time study, subject to satisfactory progress.
