Single and Dual Honours Degrees
This page provides quick links to the University on-line prospectus for programmes with music.
Single Honours
A very popular three-year programme with over 300 applications per year. Core modules in year one lead to modular choice in years two and three. Our annual intake of 50 students is normally divided 38 (single honours Music) and 12 (dual honours).
The first year includes training in harmony and counterpoint, music history, music analysis, composition (paper and studio based), music psychology, music of the world and performance: everything that you need to make decisions about your modules in years two and three. The modular structure of years two and three enable you to create your own 'path' that may be traditional and contemporary, academic and vocational.
Dual Honours Degrees
These programmes offer an opportunity to work in a complementary discipline, a chance to experience two departments and complete a broader degree after three years.
