Timetable of Events

The week's programme of events is designed to be flexible so that you can pick and choose to attend the events you're most interested in and use your free time to explore Sheffield and the surrounding areas. 

Unless stated otherwise events are free of charge to attend, but you may need to pay for food or drink.

Events with limited places can be booked on the day of the event at the Welcome Briefing or at the Information Desk in the Students' Union entrance

Monday 16th September

Join us for an evening of pizza making fun, getting to know other Discovery Week students and chilling out in the Students' Union. A great way to start the week's events. Pizzas are £5 each but we're offering a £1.50 discount voucher - first come first served - come early to guarantee yourself a pizza!

Managing and budgeting your money is a very important skill to have whilst at university. In this interactive session, the Students' Union expert money advisers and members of the University's Financial Support team will be showing you the best ways to keep track of your finances and answer any questions you may have about money.

Concerned about adjusting to UK life and culture? This session will be full of advice about living and studying in Sheffield and will be delivered by our International Student Support Officers.

Find out how to set up a bank account in the UK with a representative from the Santander bank who have a branch on campus in the Students' Union Building.

Treasure Hunt

There's no better way to explore Sheffield city centre than to jump right in: following clues you will visit places througout the city centre collecting stamps, tokens and information. This will help you locate many useful places that you may ise in the future.

Plus, all completed answer sheets will be entered into a prize draw!
