Immigration Preparation
Read our web pages and keep checking them. UKBA can change immigration requirements regularly and at short notice.
Wherever you study in UK, here is information to help you prepare for the immigration challenge:
- The academic certificates listed on your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) must be translated by an official translator. The translation MUST include all the requirements noted below,
• The translator’s credentials
• Confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original document
• The date of the translation
• The translator’s name and signature
• The translator’s contact details - The money for your studies should all be in your name for at least 28 days before you apply for your visa every penny of it for every one of those 28 days or your visa will be refused.
- If the money is still in your parents’ name, it must be in their account[s] – every penny for every one of those 28 days. Your birth certificate must be translated (like academic certificates) if you are using money in your parents’ name[s] or your visa will be refused.
The bank documents for you or your parents must not be more than one month old or your visa will be refused. - If ATAS applies to your course, you must apply for clearance at least one month before making your visa application.
