Tuberculosis Screening

The UK Government has introduced a requirement to have screening for Tuberculosis (TB) for those living in certain countries, to be eligible for a visa.

Please check on the website of the UK Embassy/High Commission/Consul for your country, before applying for a visa.

All students coming to the University of Sheffield from outside Europe, North America Australia or New Zealand, should bring with them a copy of a chest x ray report in English – taken within 6 months prior to arrival in the UK and bring this to their Health Service interview.

If you have a Health Record book with details of your immunisations, bring this to your Health Service interview
