Information regarding the booking procedure for the 2013 Residential Orientation Programme will be available on these webpages in June/July 2013.

Places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis so book as soon as you can.

When the University receives your Residential Orientation Programme on-line booking and payment, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. This e-mail constitutes a firm booking. If you make a firm booking and find at a later date that you cannot attend, you must cancel your place in writing (see below). If you do not receive an e-mail acknowledgement within 10 working days you must tell us so that we can make sure your application has been received.

Fax: +44 (0)114 222 1304 or email : Orientation@sheffield.ac.uk

The programme will almost certainly fill up; priority will be given to full-time degree students. You should not arrive expecting to participate in the Residential Orientation Programme unless you are sure you have a place on the programme. A waiting list will operate once all places are full. Applicants will be notified if they are on the waiting list.

Please note that payment will be retained for all students who apply as rent etc. must still be paid. You will be responsible for payment even if you are unexpectedly unable to attend. Cancellations must be received in writing to Student Support and Guidance, Student Services Department, University of Sheffield, Edgar Allen House, Second Floor, 241 Glossop Road, Sheffield, S10 2GW, Fax: +44 (0)114 222 1304, before 31 August 2012. You will then be provided with a cancellation number to enable you to receive a refund. If you do not cancel your place by 31 August 2012 you will not receive a refund.

PLEASE NOTE if you are unable to arrive by Monday 10 September 2012 your application WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If you arrive after 8pm on Monday 10 September, your place may have been given to another student unless you have made arrangements with a member of the orientation staff. The charge cannot be reduced if your start on the programme is delayed.
