The programme is open to students coming to Sheffield for one semester and one academic year or more. 

Can parents / relatives attend?

1. No. The programme is designed for new students only.
2. A list of local hotels and guest houses is available from Accommodation and Commercial Services

1. Telephone home on arrival to let them know you have arrived safely.
2. Participants cannot receive calls on the University Residence’s main telephone.
3. Use payphones in the University Residence to call home
4. Email - Before registration, you can access University computers in IT centres.
