New students commencing in September 2012

Goodwin Sports Centre

It is vital that you register with the University because this forms the formal contract between you and the University; it enables you to use the libraries, use computing facilities, receive your University Membership Card (UCard) and have your student loan payments initiated.

During Intro Week you need to:

  1. Attend a Welcome Meeting
  2. Attend your Introductory Meeting
  3. Attend the Module Enrolment event*
  4. Have your qualifications verified (if you have not applied through UCAS)
  5. Have your passport and visa scanned (overseas students only)
  6. Attend a Registration Event
  7. Collect your UCard
  8. Attend a University Health interview

*Undergraduate and Visiting students only

If you have limited mobility or you are a wheelchair user, you are advised to contact Registry Services (email: student.registration@sheffield.ac.uk) prior to the Registration Event, preferably a few days before coming to the University, if necessary we can assist you with any alternative arrangements that may be necessary.

The Registration Help Desk will assist with any queries about Registration or Fees, including the replacement of lost documents.
