Welcome to the Fringe, a line up of alternative events and activities to kick start the year.

These events will be welcoming and friendly with lots of student assistants to help you get involved.

Come along by yourself or with friends, it's a great opportunity to start something new!
                                                               

Intro Week is your chance to start exploring what university can offer, socially as well as academically. It’s worth remembering that Intro Week is not a typical university week, for some students it’s really exciting but for others it can be a little bit daunting. However, with the range of activities on offer there is the opportunity for everyone to have fun.

A typical Fringe event has a specific activity as the focus - be it pot painting, Ultimate Frisbee, comedy, games evenings or even a historical walking tour of Sheffield - along with plenty of student assistants to help you get involved. If you feel nervous about turning up to an event alone or haven’t found people you want to hang out with yet, come along to one of our Fringe events. They are a great way to meet new people, try something different and be welcomed into Sheffield life.
