2. Immigration Authorities have a record of the University you told them you would be attending.
- It is likely that they will check that you have registered at that university.
- If that university is not Sheffield and you do come here, please inform us at:
international.students@sheffield.ac.uk
- If you do not help to update the immigration authorities where you are, they will assume that you are in the UK illegally.
- If you told the immigration authorities that you were coming to the University of Sheffield but have since changed your mind, you MUST inform us and tell us where you are instead.

3. Universities will be required by the UK Government to report any student who:
- fails to arrive and/or register
- does not attend at least 80% of all classes/tutorials/time
- withdraws
- takes leave of absence
- is excluded/expelled from the University
4. You will not be able to extend your visa/permission to stay in UK unless you can prove that you are registered, attending according to regulations and progressing.
