Travel Abroad

1. National Health Service does not cover travel abroad. Provision of care varies from country to country and medical insurance is strongly recommended.

2. EU nationals travelling in Europe should take the e.health card to make a claim for any medical treatment on return to the UK. Applications for this are obtainable from Post Offices.

3. Non-EU nationals should take out private medical insurance when travelling elsewhere in Europe or beyond.
