Your Membership

1. When you become a University of Sheffield student you automatically become a member of the University of Sheffield Union of Students.

2. The Union is run by students for students and is independent from the University, although the two organisations work closely together.

3. The Union enjoys a national reputation for providing some of the best services and activities available in any University.

4. The University of Sheffield UCard is also your membership card for the Union.

5. The National Union of Students (NUS)

  1. recognises the University of Sheffield Union of Students UCard as membership/ID of NUS.
  2. The NUS has introduced “NUS Extra”, an additional discount card available at £10 per card. For full details of how to get this card see website
