Key priorities

We need to be focused on key priorities to ensure we continue to be a leading global university making a crucial difference for our students and in the lives of people around the world. Our priorities are:

  • Improve market share of the highest quality UK, EU and international students
  • Deliver on our 2012 promises
  • Attract and retain the best staff
  • Increase our research income and improve our strength in research quality even further
  • Strengthen our role internationally
  • Deepen and broaden our strategic partnerships

Our cross-cutting priorities cover three thematic areas: Research and Innovation, Internationalisation and Learning and Teaching.

Faculties

Our academic endeavour is pursued in faculties, the academic units within each and supported by a range of co-curricular activities.

Our academic goals are supported and attained through these faculties and their strength is central to our success.
