What's on

Group activities

During most months we arrange various art or craft type activities, recent ones have included pottery, silver jewellery and candle making. See the photos in our events gallery.

Programme of events

We can offer the following workshop sessions:
Pottery is a regular favourite and can be arranged for groups of six. We can also offer silver jewellery for groups of four. Please contact us for more details or to arrange a special workshop.

Lunchtime art sessions

Can't find time to draw or paint at home, or you've never tried it before but would like to have a go? Then join us at our weekly Thursday lunchtime art session!

Bring your own materials and spend an hour drawing or painting or whatever you enjoy. If you've never tried painting or drawing and would like to try, come along and have a go, we can't give expert tuition but we'll give as much help as we can to get you started.

If you'd like to join us please let us know, as we may not be there every week and space is limited. It may also be possible to arrange an alternative day if you can't come on Thursdays. See Richard Webb in E30 or use the email link at the bottom of this page.

Does anyone have any art or craft skills which you would like to share with others at these sessions? If so we could use your help.

Work on display in the department

Group members will be exhibiting work in the department at various times, see the table below for details. We have a small space in the departmental office (E34) and a larger area in Catherine's office (E31). Please feel free to contact the artist if you have any questions about the work on display.
