Excellent scores in 2011 National Student Satisfaction Survey
The Department of Politics has once again received excellent results in the National Student Survey (NSS). The Department received a 90% overall satisfaction rating, with particular strengths in teaching and learning.
The ratings, which were compiled through an independent survey of final-year students, revealed high levels of satisfaction with course content and the way teaching was delivered. A huge 94% of students felt that staff were good at explaining things, and the same number felt that staff made the subject interesting. 94% considered that their course was intellectually stimulating.
The NSS results also showed high levels of satisfaction with library services (93%) and access to IT resources (94%). 91% of students felt that their course was well organised.
