Taught Masters: Pre-Registration

This page is for students who have accepted an unconditional offer.

By August, you will be emailed with information relating to your particular MA programme.  This will include a module pre-registration form and a module timetable.  A paper copy will also be sent to you.

We now need you to choose which modules you would like to study. Browse module outlines

Once you have decided which modules you would like to take, please download the preregistration form for your programme from the right of this page, complete it as soon as possible and return it to us:

By email: s.kelk@sheffield.ac.uk

By mail:
Sue Kelk, MA Administrator
Department of Politics
Elmfield, Northumberland Road
University of Sheffield, S10 2TU
United Kingdom

Please note that your choices are provisional. You may change your selection when you come to Sheffield to register. The preregistration form is important to the MA Team because it helps us plan teaching provision. It is very important to us that you complete it and return it. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Kelk, MA Administrator or Matt Sleat, Director of MA Studies.

Looking for MA Political Theory? Administration of this programme is managed by the Department of Philosophy, so please contact them to find out what you need to do before registering.

Other Pre-Registration Information

Please also take note of the three downloads in this section. The Class Timetable will help you to avoid clashes in your module selection. The Introductory Meetings document will tell you when you need to attend the Department for information about your course and to meet your tutors and fellow students. It is very helpful to us if you are able to confirm your attendance at this meeting using the Reply Slip document. Please send this to Sue Kelk along with your pre-registration form.
