Undergraduate Modules

Below are a series of outlines which detail the range and content of undergraduate modules that we currently offer. The availability of modules may change in future years; and the range of modules will also be added to, as we are continually adding to our teaching provision. Reflecting the organic nature of the political world, the contents of modules may also evolve over time. If you have questions about any aspect of any modules, please contact the relevant module leader.

'Different degree programmes require you to study different combinations of modules, and you can find out more about what our programmes entail here. All programmes also include an element of unrestricted choice, which means that students also have the opportunity to choose from the wide range of modules that we offer.'

At Level Three, dissertations and project modules are individually supervised in a schedule of one-to-one meetings. This means that for a single honours student half of the final year assessment is individually supervised. Since Level Three marks are double-weighted in the calculation of the final degree classification, a third of the work that counts towards your final degree is individually supervised.
