The Exchange

The Exchange logoA highly successful programme of high-profile political speaker events at the University. Its aim is to reinvigorate participation and interest in politics by hosting high-profile and prestigious political figures. In recent years, The Exchange has played host to such high calibre speakers as David Held, The Global Poverty Project, Duncan Green of OXFAM, Political Activist and Guardian jouranlist Selma James, David Blunkett, Jack Straw and even a special event with Eddie Izzard. Additionally, Exchange members have opportunities to become involved in the hosting of these events, giving them opportunities no other society can offer. Due to its massive success, The Exchange has now become a working committee separate from POLSOC within the union. However, there are strong links between the two groups.
