Research Groups
The Department is home to four research groups which explore key areas of political research:
- Governance and Participation
- Political Theory and Global Justice
- Political Economy
- International Politics
Our research groups are collectives of academics and PhD students who are working in related areas of research. The groups give an opportunity to meet, share and test ideas, and to build partnerships and collaborations.
Each group holds regular Research Workshops, where activities range from developing co-authored research proposals, to presentations by renowned external speakers, to postgraduate panel debates with academics on key issues in contemporary politics.
Our research groups support the work of our three Research Centres and lie at the heart of the Department’s thriving research culture.
