Emeritus Professor: Patrick Seyd

Patrick Seyd is Emeritus Professor of Politics. As an undergraduate he studied politics and economics at the University of Southampton. His postgraduate studies were, first, at the University of Southampton (MPhil) and, then, at the University of Sheffield (PhD). He joined the Department in 1970. He was Chair of the Department between 1995 and 1998, and became Emeritus Professor in 2003. He was co-founder, with Professor Paul Whiteley, of the Institute for the Study of Political Parties.
