The University mail room is located at North Campus, Broad Lane, Sheffield, S3 7HQ. The University's internal mail is sorted and distributed by mail room staff. Incoming external mail is delivered directly to University buildings by Royal Mail with any miscellaneous items taken to the mail room for processing.
The mail room is open Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.00pm. Staff can be contacted on (0114) 22 29233.
Internal mail is delivered at agreed times with each department. Under normal circumstances the internal mail is delivered on two vehicles ensuring all morning deliveries are complete by 10.45am. The afternoon deliveries are complete by 3.00pm.
All outgoing external mail collected is dispatched the same day. To allow for sorting, internal mail delivery is guaranteed within two working days. However, if mail items are addressed clearly and correctly this is usually the next working day.
