University accommodationUniversity accommodation is a good choice for postgraduates. It's value for money and easy to arrange. Once you're offered a place on a course, we'll send you details of the different accommodation on offer. You make your choice, fill in a form online and we do the rest. All you have to do is show up and collect your keys. They're not called halls anymoreOur accommodation is a contemporary community, designed with everyone in mind. There's something to suit all our students, including couples and families. So you can concentrate on your masters and not have to worry about landlords and bills. Bills are included in your rentThat means gas, water, electricity and contents insurance. Ninety-nine per cent of our accommodation comes with free internet – the only exceptions are a small number of our houses. You chooseYou can live in the heart of the city or in one of its most popular suburbs, just 1.5 miles from campus. Most of our accommodation is en suite but if you're on a budget you can rent a room with a shared bathroom. You'll live with other postgrads. There are larger, deluxe rooms and studio apartments if you need more space. We do the restOnce you're offered a place on a course, we'll send you details of the different accommodation on offer. You make your choice, apply online and we do the rest. All you have to do is show up and collect your keys. How much does it cost?It varies depending on the location, type of room and facilities. Self-catering accommodation rents for 2013 range from £4,033 per year for a room in a house with a shared bathroom to £7,268 per year for a studio apartment. Flexible contractsContracts are for 42 weeks but you can arrange to stay for 51 weeks if you prefer. Catered accommodation is also available for postgraduates. Families and couplesWe have a number of apartments and houses suitable for families and couples. They're all close to the University, shops and good local schools. Each property is fully furnished and has gas central heating and a washing machine or access to a launderette. Students with special requirementsWe also have rooms adapted for students with special requirements. For instance, if you have a hearing impairment you may need special equipment to tell you when there’s a fire drill. Whatever your needs, let us know when you apply and we’ll take it from there. |
