Information sent out after you apply for a Postgraduate Research Degree
If you are made an offer of a place on a Research Degree we will send you various documents and publications.
Below you can find details of what you can expect to receive and when.
Once you have been made an offer (conditional or unconditional):
- Home from Home Booklet - Information and an application form for University of Sheffield accommodation.
- 'Information for New International Students' (for students paying overseas fees or those domiciled overseas) - a comprehensive publication that provides:
- information on the decisions and preparations you need to make before your departure from home and
- information to help you settle in quickly once you arrive in Sheffield.
Once you have been made an unconditional offer and you have accepted it:
- Guidebook for Research students and supervisors (sent by the Graduate Research Office)
- 'Welcome to Sheffield' booklet (for students domiciled in the UK)
- 'Welcome to Sheffield - International' (for students paying overseas fees or domiciled overseas)
If you have not yet received your 'Welcome to Sheffield' pack and you are due to start your studies soon you can download the Registration Guide (which includes the Financial Guarantee Forms and Medical Forms) from the link on the right.
If you cannot download the guide you can pick up and complete the Financial Guarantee forms at Registration.
