The city centre and the University are linked by the lively Devonshire Quarter, made up of independent clothes and record shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Sheffield also has Meadowhall, one of the largest shopping centres in the UK, with almost 300 shops.

Sheffield is easy to travel around, with an established tram link and excellent bus facilities.

The city is well placed for UK travel, with good rail links and, for international travel, Doncaster-Sheffield, Leeds-Bradford, East Midlands and Manchester airports are within easy reach.
