Transferring into Level Two Psychology at the University of Sheffield from other Psychology courses
Competition for places is very strong on our course and the chances of us being able offer places on our Level Two course are very slim. If you meet our eligibility criteria (see below) we will keep your application on file and notify you if a place does become available.
To be eligible for transfer it is essential that:
- You meet our entry requirements of AAB at A-level.
- You must also have performed well during the first year of your BPS-accredited Psychology degree elsewhere, scoring or being predicted to average above the 2i threshold across all your current courses. To support your application you must provide a reference from your current Psychology Department, detailing current and predicted Level One grades and a copy of your UCAS application form.
If you meet the eligibility criteria and would like us to file your application then please write to the Level 2 Secretary, Department of Psychology, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, S10 2TN, including the evidence of eligibility described above. Please also include a stamped self-addressed postcard if you would like us to register receipt of your application. Otherwise we will only contact you if and when we are able to offer you a place at Level Two. Informal enquiries about this procedure may also be directed to d.inkersole@sheffield.ac.uk in the first instance.
If you are interested in joining our psychology programme at Level One then please make your application through the UCAS system. Please contact Liz Fotherby l.fotherby@sheffield.ac.ukif you have any queries about this procedure.
