Research Interests
We are investigating the role of disclosure and nondisclosure in the Indian cancer patient and how it impacts their choice of coping mechanisms. We are also looking at how Indian families conceal the diagnosis and what are the factors that determine disclosure or nondisclosure of the cancer diagnosis to the patient.
This is a key area of psycho-oncological research as there can be a great impact of diagnosis disclosure on the patient's psychological well-being, quality of life and coping both in the short-term and the long-term.
