Randomised Assessment of Treatment using Panel Assay of Cardiac markers

- A trial of rapid blood testing for acute chest pain in six NHS hospitals around the UK

- Funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment Programme

Recruitment over six NHS sites ended on 2 June 2009 with 2263 patients. With information about the progress of the trial from the Data Monitoring Committee the HTA Programme decided not to grant an extension request to continue recruitment to the target of 3130.
