Researcher Professional Development Team
This is a new University team, established in Autumn 2012. The team's role is to provide postgraduate research students and research staff (who are in the early years of their research careers) with access to a wide range of professional career development and training opportunities and support. Support will include access to training programmes, careers advice and mentors (as this is a new team, some of the support is already available and some of the support is being developed in 2012/13). The team aims to equip postgraduate research students and research staff with transferable skills that are valuable to employers and, equally, are valuable for delivering high quality research.
This is a University team with a University-wide remit and the team is made up of 9 members of staff, of whom 4 are based within the Faculties, 2 are based within the Careers Service, and 3 are based within R&I Services.
