Impact course summary

“Impact” is a buzzword that is heard more and more in every area of research. But there is some confusion over what it means, where it came from and why academics are being asked to engage with it.

Sarah Geere (Impact Consultant in the Research Partnerships and Engagement Team) will try and clear up some of this confusion by giving an overview of the impact agenda, describing the different ways it affects the life cycle of a research project, and outlining the support academics need to meet the demands it places on them and the resources the University offers to provide that support.
