Research cluster: Russian Literary and Cultural Studies

This cluster encompasses research on:

• Literature (nineteenth-century onwards)
• Intellectual history
• Visual and material culture
• Critical and cultural theory
• Gender

It is also home to the internationally renowned Bakhtin Centre.

Recent highlights of the cluster´s work include studies of the Bakhtin Circle, Dostoevskii, the political economy of Socialist Realism, and the Moscow Pioneer Palace.
