Applying for an undergraduate degree course

Choosing a University and a degree programme is probably one of the biggest decisions in your life so far. But if you choose Sheffield, you can rest assured that you will be receiving high quality instruction in an attractive environment.

Most conditional and unconditional offers are made on the basis of the information you provide us with in your UCAS application form (pay special attention to your personal statement – we do read it!). But, factors other than A-level grades are taken into account and less typical applications are considered on a case by case basis by our admissions tutor. We also welcome applications through the Mature Access Scheme from older-than-average candidates who do not have the usual academic qualifications. If you are unsure whether your qualifications would be considered, just contact our admissions tutor.

The table below lists all the degree programs offered by the Department of Russian & Slavonic Studies. Entry requirements vary from ABB for most of our dual degrees to BBC for our single honors programme but always include an A-Level in a modern foreign language. The online prospectus will have all the details.
