Degrees with Russian

Russian at Sheffield is taught by highly experienced specialists who are a mix of native and non-native speakers.
Whether you decide to study Russian as a Single Honours or a Dual Honours degree in combination with another subject, you will study the language through a variety of media and styles in small, informal groups. Alternatively, you might choose Russian as part of the BA in Modern Languages, a more language-focused programme, which will give you a high degree of proficiency in Russian along with two other languages of your choice.
We offer a broad spectrum of degree combinations that can be studied with Russian. Find out more about all the options on the University's Undergraduate Prospectus for Russian and Slavonic Studies.
Language teaching
All degrees with Russian can be studied either after A level Russian, or at beginners' level. You'll have separate language instruction for the first two years of your studies. Only after the Year Abroad do you take language classes together.
