Biography

I joined HEDS in October 2009 after being awarded an MRC Capacity Building studentship. My doctoral research project focuses on the development of a framework for using Bayesian Clinical Trial Simulation (BCTS) and value of information methods to plan cost-effective clinical research portfolios. As a case study I will be applying this framework to a number of decision problems in the treatment and prevention of postmenopausal breast cancer. My research is supervised in HEDS by Professor Alan Brennan.

Prior to joining HEDS I was awarded an MSc in Statistics from the University of Sheffield, completed in 2009. In 2006 I was awarded a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh. In between my undergraduate and postgraduate studies I worked as an educational data analyst for Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.
