Biography

I joined the University of Sheffield as a PhD student (Section of Public Health) in October 2010. I am originally from Nepal and graduated from Tribhuvan University Nepal. I have completed Master in population Studies and Master in Health Care Management (MHCM) from Nepal and MSc in International Health Management from University of Aberdeen, UK in 2007.

Before I joined the University of Sheffield, I was undertaking my PhD at the University of Aberdeen (Section of Population Health) from 2009. Previously, I worked as a Lecturer and Coordinator in the Department of Health Care Management (Pokhara University) and various health service programme related projects in Nepal.

Research Interests

My primary research interest is in the international public health and health care management issues particularly: HIV/AIDS (Antiretroviral treatment adherence), health policy and geriatric health care.

Teaching Interests

I am interesting in teaching health care management and public health.

Professional Activities

Founder member of health care management association in Nepal.

Member of International AIDS Society (IAS).

Current Projects

Adherence to Antiretroviral Treatment in Nepal.
